Yo! Welcome to the first update already!
I wanted to make the slime's growth completely procedural! For the jam it was during a super hot and very stressful weekend. So almost nothing got done but some core mechanics; which was honestly great! These mechanics were somewhat hard coded just to showcase the gameplay I wanted.
So this update is all about taking those hardish coded systems and making them super fluid!
In the Proof of Concept build it's a fixed rate with 3 stages for the sake of showcasing how I wanted it to work. In this first update your slime will now grow as you consume things! Everything gives you X amount of EXP and for every EXP you get a tiny scale of your foundational stats and size!
The camera also had code to make all the angles move back slightly to accommodate for the new size!
So go over and check it out! I know it's only been an hour since the proof of concept version was put out; but better sooner than later! All rates will likely change over time and your input on them is invaluable!
